This mission statement represents what is at the heart of the service provided by the members of FCFD#3. Be it calls for help or day to day business, these three values are at the core of every fire district 3 member.
The FCFD#3 was formed by election in 1953. As of 2013 FCFD#3 provides fire protection and Emergency Medical Services for approximately 160 square miles surrounding the City of Pasco. The district leadership is made up of three elected commissioners and a full time fire chief. The district employs approximately 40 volunteer responders (firefighters, EMT, and support staff) and 4 full time firefighter/EMTs. Those personnel respond to around 350-400 calls for service a year. The district has a total of six fire stations. At those stations we have a total of 5 type 6 wildland engines, 2 type 5 wildland engines, 4 type 1 structure engines, 2 water tenders, 1 tactical tender, 1 tractor with disk, Breathing Support Unit, Rescue Unit, 2 ambulances, 1 fire/rescue ATV.
